My trip to Hawaii

I wanted to share some photographs from one of my more recent adventurous...my trip to Hawaii. This summer I was fortunate enough to attend my first human wedding. I travelled first class on a airplane (just the way us Vibrant Voyageurs like to travel)...and so I should; afterall I am the oldest in my flock.
So...like I was saying, it was my first human wedding. And, although humans do some really distrubing things the one thing we seem to agree on is constant pleasure seeking...because afterall, that is what us byrds enjoy most. Travelling, eating, drinking, relaxing, and playing all come so naturally to us.
During this wedding I was able to RELAX on the beach...

Enjoy a photo opportunity at a local volanco. It was even urupting...a rare occurance I'm told?

And the best part of the wedding...A DRINK with some CAKE.

Doesn't that cake look good?! I admit it was and I even went back for seconds and thirds!

So that was my little trip to Hawaii. It's a great place to visit...the weather is always perfect and the humans there are really friendly.

So to all of my flock members out there enjoying GREAT food, drink, sport and rest I encourage you to send me your photos. And, I promise when I am able to get around to it I will post them here. Just email them to aturnbull9@sympatico.ca

Wonderbyrd

Over the next few months I am going to continue to share with you the documented history of my species...the Vibrant Voyageur. Please email me any questions you may have for I am eager to get our information out. Next up....Wonderbyrd.

Wonderbyrd is just your average cape crusader trying hard not to get burnt. Unlike other Vibrant Voyageurs she can run and fly all day and always stays fresh. She expects to live forever because she is chalked full of preservatives. She enjoys warm weather but doesn't like it too hot. Wonderbyrd is careful to avoid car mufflers and jet engines. Not surprisingly the toaster is her arch nemesis. Superbyrd is her distant cousin.

Superbyrd the leader of all Vibrant Voyageurs

Today is the start of a new year and my New Year's Resolution for year 2009 is to share my knowledge of my species Tourus Craniac Migratorus commonly known as the Vibrant Voyageurs with you!

My name is Superbyrd. The information I will share with you has taken years to prepare but with the help of our friends from Thyme of the Season (Matt and Andrea) we have been able to get our records in order. The documents you will read are a detailed summary of our origins and will provide a starting point for future tails.
So let's begin...
Superbyrd is widely considered the mother of all byrds. With a strong moral compass Superbyrd guides this species into a new and liberating time where byrds are considered to be on the fast track up the evolutionary chain.
It is believed that Superbyrd gained her powers while visiting the Cape Trib Exotic Fruit Farm in the tropics. It was there that she first became addicted to the small red berries known as miracle fruit. This fruit originally found in West Africa plays a unique trick on the human taste buds, making all sour tasting food sweet. But, for a Vibrant Voyageur, the impact was much greater. Miracle fruit transformed this byrd into a super power. It gave her the ability to fly faster than a speeding hawk, more powerful than a bald eagle and over tall buildings in a single bound. The ability to fly for this byrd gave her an advantage over all of her species. With Superbyrds' mothering instincts in tow she plays, guides and lives among all Vibrant Voyageurs stating "I am a byrd of many feathers but my flock sticks together!" She uses super speed, super hearing, super strength, and x-ray vision to the benefit of all Vibrant Voyageurs. She is a true hero amongst her byrds.
I hope you enjoyed reading my short history...I will introduce and share the lives of many more Vibrant Voyageurs over the next year. So keep checking back!
