While it seems that some of our feather friends made a detour somewhere further north off the beaten path. But likely for us they have reported in. Here is what they had to say about ICELAND. We hope to hear more about their trip when they get back to Thyme of the Season.
We've been hearing whispering...a peep here and a peep there about travel plans. It is hard to believe as the snow still falls here in Muskoka that spring is upon us and the annual mating season for the Vibrant Voyageurs is over. The flock will soon return to hatch and raise their young by the lakes of Muskoka, Rosseau and Joseph.
The adults, juveniles and even the youngest members of the flock better take their last sip of Caribbean nectar, put down those Cubans and give their wings a stretch...finding a cruise ship back to the main land is getting crucial.
Here are a couple of snowbyrds...don't let their flying position fool you...they are just stretching their wings and looking for a ride on the back bumper of a smooth operating vehicle.
I am the mother of all byrds.
The height of my species ranges from 12" to 32"; long legs; petite wings; coil spring necks...a result of an unfortunate car collision. Our colours range from vibrant yellow, orange, red, green, purple and blue. The circular dots on torso and tail are unique to each byrd. We lack flight ambition and prefer hitching rides on moving vechicles be it automobile or plane...anything to avoid flying.
